Context
Working with BBC Studios, we were brought on to create the key art, title treatment, and episodic artwork for The Mating Game — a David Attenborough-narrated wildlife series exploring the extraordinary and often dangerous lengths animals go to in the search for a mate.

Challenge
The artwork needed to sit within the visual heritage of BBC natural history programming — alongside titles like Perfect Planet and Dynasties — while capturing the specific tone of this series: cinematic, emotionally rich, and rooted in the theatre of animal courtship.

Solution
We art directed a hero image built around a single, striking shot of flamingos — distilling the show's themes of love, ritual, and the stories we instinctively project onto the natural world. From there, we developed episodic artworks sourced from each episode's footage, led retouch across the series, and created a title treatment designed to carry the gravitas the documentary demanded.
